Earthbound
A celebration of the Tuscan countryside, and a meditation on the relationship between art and nature. Alongside landscape paintings and photographs there are works in which natural objects found locally – fossils, bones stones, porcupine quills – are integrated into wood sculptures during the carving process. In this way the work of art evolves, and finds its form, as the product of a dialogue between man and nature.
