In art the camera is a place where individual vision and the outside world meet on equal terms. The selection of photographs offered here evokes this essential tension: sometimes the emphasis is personal, reflecting whatever I see around me in my daily life; at other times it is the reality of other peoples’ lives, and unfamiliar situations, that matters most.
